The phosphor is backed with aluminium to ensure good electrical conductivity and prevent charging. It also prevents stray light from inside the chamber from affecting the image and enhances the contrast.

The RSH - RHEED Screen Holder is designed for fast and easy mounting and exchange of RHEED screens. The special shape of the screen holder allows the possibility to mount a RHEED screen on a UHV window without further modifications.
